Most people think of animated films when they think of Disney, but Disney put out a steady stream of "family-friendly"* live action films from the 50s-70s (and beyond, but things got complicated when Disney started buying other companies and started its own TV channel). The source list goes further in time but I wanted to focus on this unique, perhaps classic, era of films.
*Note: Just like some of their more famous animated counterparts, some of these films have troubling themes, especially their frequent racist depictions of Native Americans. I am only making a list, not endorsing all of these films.
Also, the source list left off Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Pete's Dragon, probably because they are hybrid films, but I added them to the end because they are classics of this era!
