Desert Island Books

These are the ten books I would currently choose to take with me if I were to be stranded on a desert island. I tried to include a bit of a variety as I would be reading the same books over and over and I'm not sure I'd want to read classics back to back for however long while also worrying about my survival, so I've got some more light-hearted books in the mix as well (although not too many as my favourite books tend to be on the more heavy/emotional side). The only rule I gave myself while picking which books to include was that they had to be books I've already read - none from my tbr. And I'm not a massive re-reader, so this wasn't as easy a list to make as I thought it would be. I was originally thinking I would just include my favourites, but quickly realised I wouldn't want to read half of those books on a desert island - a recent favourite, Lord of the Flies, gets a big no thank you from me when it comes to this list.
