Dark Academia Bibliagirl Has Read

It's hard for me to tell what exactly Dark Academia literature is so this is not an exhaustive list. It seems more like a vibe than anything: school/university backgrounds, murder/mystery, secret societies, evoking Autumnal and Halloween feels. And it spans genres, from fantasy to horror to gothic to contemporary to classic. But many of the recommended books are from classic literature and classical studies, so Dark Academia is also reading classics to be a student of the aesthetic yourself. So this is a mix of classic gothic novels, classic mythology, contemporary books (fantasy or mystery) with academic or gothic settings. I'm tired from trying to figure this out.
