Culture Editor's Worst Reads of 2018-2020

A very short list, but it did not FEEL short as I limped through some of these. (A bunch more books got grudging "2's" out of me that I did not enjoy really. Looking at you, "Berlin Alexanderplatz." Some of these are classics, some are beloved, some are bestsellers, and some even have some decent passages, that were ultimately undermined by repetitive or confusing parts — but others made me want to throw the book against the wall (or my Kindle). Have you read them?
