Contemporary World Fiction: USA - Page 2

These are American authors and their works that are discussed in "The Complete Review Guide to Contemporary World Fiction" (M.A. Orthofer, 2016).
Provocatively, Orthofer considers some of the books to be "duds" (O-Zone), "unremarkable" (John Grisham's works), of no literary worth (The Da Vinci Code), or "typical of the best and worst in science fiction" (Neal Stephenson's books). He regards the works of Jacqueline Susann, Judith Krantz, Danielle Steel, Nora Roberts & Candace Bushnell as "overwritten fluff and fantasy". Do you agree?
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: If a book icon is the standard Title/Author pairing, that book is specifically discussed by Orthofer. The reverse Author/Title pairing is a representative work of the author (chosen by me), but is not discussed.
