Conjoined Twins Movies

Unfortunately, the very existence of conjoined twins, that is twins that are joined together in utero, is often treated as a novelty or a gimmick so many of these movies use the presence of two conjoined siblings as a way to ramp the uncanny (namely horror, surreality, the fantastical, humour, and/or gothic) nature of the film. The twins are rarely treated as humans in their own right and are instead shown to be objects of amusement or fear. When the movie wants to treat them more "seriously," the two people are then seen as spectacles or specimens.
