Classics That Are Fun to Read - Page 3

Our maverick English Teacher and contrarian looks back on his reading history and comes up with 100 classics and modern classics of fiction that were so enjoyable to read (at least to him) that they couldn't possibly be "required" reading. As always, this is a personal and idiosyncratic list, and should not be taken as exhaustive or definitive. For those who care about such things, "Frankenstein" did not make the list because, despite its brilliant concept, it is a terrible slog to read.
