September 1966 marked the start of the first season of the original "Star Trek" television series. Although canceled after only three seasons, the "Star Trek" franchise has grown to be one of, if not the, largest and most successful of all time.
In honor of the original series, I have selected five favorite episodes from each of the three seasons of the show's original run. They are listed in order shown, not in personal preference.
(For the record, my three favorite of ALL TIME are "Amok Time", "The Trouble with Tribbles" and "The City on the Edge of Forever".
