Cities and Sights Along the Colorado River of Texas

The Colorado River of Texas is, at 862 miles, the 18th-longest river in the United States and the longest river with both its source and mouth within Texas. The river originates south of Lubbock, on the Llano Estacado, near Lamesa, and then flows in a general southeastern direction through the Texas Hill Country, including the city of Austin, before emptying into Matagorda Bay. This is a list of cities and attractions along the length of the river, from west to east.
