Cinephile 101: 50 Popular Movies of the 1930s - Page 2

Cinephile 101 is a cinephile/film buff list series, aiming to cover a diverse range of different areas that anyone who claims this distinction should really know their stuff in.
In this entry of the series, we continue looking at the kind of movies you need to watch to cover the basic groundwork of being a cinephile. Some may think they're clever for jumping in at the deep end, but no one will be impressed with you if you haven't seen the most basic of movie standards. Today we're looking at 50 well known movies from the 1930s, five from each year (data source: Rate Your Music, top 5 for each year, skipping any low rated movies), that will help you build up a basic knowledge of film.
