Welcome to my year in books for 2023.
A selection of novels, short stories, plays, poetry, essays, crime, mystery, action, adventure, travel, cookery, hobbies, interests, science, history, religion and a sprinkle of Christmas including a history of the origins of the real Santa Claus.
Also included are reference books that I have used throughout the year.
Several days after reading A Voyage for Madmen I found a second hand copy of A Fighting Chance which is the story of rowing across the Atlantic.
As a point of interest, A. R. Quinton's England is a pictorial biography of the artist whose works are used on the covers of the 'Favourite' series of cookbooks. The book also contains a painting of Lynmouth completed shortly before the flood disaster. The Work of Rain and Rivers describes the actions and effects.
Yes I did read Palin's 80 days twice: 2 slightly different versions - HB & PB.
I also read Fanny Hill twice - expurgated and unexpurgated.
Happy New Reading Year to all.
