Books the Reading Girl Recommends to Adults - Page 4

This list represents the books I love to recommend. I love reading and made my career around books - as a teacher and a librarian. But these aren't the classics. Most of them wouldn't be taught in school (except for a few I chose to teach because I loved them so much). There's no Shakespeare or Bronte or Twain. As good as those authors are, I usually figure they've already be recommended countless times or many of my friends would have already read them.
