Books that I think will be classics in 30-50 years because they or their authors have already become more prominent, that they have taken on a world of their own, because they are incredibly well written or I think they will have literary value in the future or I just really like them and think they could fall into one of those categories.
But as it happens what is well written in the era can be forgotten and what is forgetten in the era can become beloved.
