I hope you have some fun with this challenge! Chihuahuas and more!
The list consists of well-known book titles, each followed by a set of "variations" on that title. The variants range from homages through to works that I presume are trying to piggyback off the fame of the original (eg the Gatsby variants). Does a "clever" title persuade the discerning listchallenge user to read a book?
Criteria for inclusion were quite loose: the title was already on the listchallenges database, the title had a decent number of ratings on goodreads or the adjusted title was amusing to me. Newer books with titles identical to the original were excluded.
I appreciate that the famous title may itself have been a phrase borrowed from some preceding work (eg from the poetry of Robert Burns, John Donne, even from nursery rhymes) but that has long been the case in literature.
