Best Metal Albums of 2018

Here is the list of what i consider to be the best metal releases of 2018. The list is representative of my personal musical preferences that I have grown to enjoy over the years. I do not claim to be the sole possessor of ultimate truth, but I hardly recommend taking this for a couple of spins as releases included in the list are quite accessible and will definitely be to the liking of metal fans regardless of age and general preferences. It's been quite hard to select the winners among many great released this year, with masterpieces coming in abundance across different genres. Stoner Doom has seen a major revival with Sleep coming back to the forefront of the scene with "Sciences" while multiple death metal masterpieces such as Dakhma's "Hamkar Atonement" came to the limelight.
