When he is arrested for the killing of his boss. He is in his cell and cant stand the look on his face. So he cuts a smile in his face so he'll never frown again.

Harvey Dent/Two Face Backstory: Martin "Mad Dog" Hawkins is dating Lucy Dent the mother of Harvey when an incident at the dinner table leads to murder. Lucy being the one murdered. Harvey runs and hides in the closet when the fight begins. Lucy is killed right in front of the closet which Harvey witnesses through the slats in the closet door. Commissioner hears a whimper from the closet while examining the body of Lucy hours after the murder. Commissioner Gordon adopts Harvey Dent as him and his wife cannot have kids and to give a home to Harvey. To prevent Harvey from going through the system like Commissioner Gordon did.
