This is a list of movies that are disliked either by critics or general audiences, or that don't have a lot of substance, but that I ended up loving. For many of these, I can see why others didn't like it, and I can have a pretty terrible taste at times (as you can probably tell by this list). That being said, I'd always rather love a movie than hate it—it's much more fun to like something than it is to dislike it. So, even if the general consensus about a movie is that it's bad, and even if I could tell that it's bad, if I could somehow still enjoy it despite everything and have a good time, I'm not going to try to force myself to dislike it.
If you haven't seen one of these, I'd suggest giving it a try. Who knows, maybe you'll end up liking it against all odds just like I did!
