Another One of Those Well-Read Lists

This list is made up of classics and popular books – a sort of ultimate to-be-read list. I made a list of the most famous authors that I'd heard of, then only included their book (or series) if I'd heard of it by reputation. There are no plays or poems or non-fiction works. It's novels, novellas and short stories only (sorry, Shakespeare). For any series of books, I've only included one book from the series (either the first or the most famous), otherwise, the list would be a million books long. Books are listed in a random order.
