My first classical music concert was in 1985/6 , Sir Simon Rattle visited my younger sister's school to talk about classical music/conducting. In the evening a group of pupils went to a concert. I had walked my sister to the school for the minibus to the concert,, there was a spare seat and I went as well - my journey to classical music began.

Yes, I know it is not many, but there have been other plays, pantos, classical music concerts and cultural events that I cannot remember enough details about to add to the list.
As my husband was a bus driver and never knew what days he would be off work, we could never book events in advance, and rarely able to acquire tickets on the day.
As my husband is no longer able to work, we have more time to enjoy cultural events and have been booking concerts, shows, plays, ballet for this year (see accompanying list)
