An Old Man's Look at the World of Books, Early 2022

The main books I've read so far this year. I've excluded the 'great books of our time' (The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Brown Bear, Peanuts) as I might be reading these again before the week is out.
Some of these were new to me, some were re-reads and some were pre-reading to see if they were at a suitable level. Francis Crick is eminently readable if you like his subject matter (if there are intelligent beings elsewhere in the galaxy, why are they not here?) I felt Morgenstein and Roy deserved an extra book. Others I couldn't wait to put down (No, it wasn't Arnheim!). You will have your own favourites - maybe something will challenge you?
