Aesthetics Series: Cryptidcore

A continuation of my aesthetics series, in which I select a popular internet aesthetic and provide 10 book recommendations to anyone interested. Today: cryptidcore, the only one of these lists that leans more horror than not.
Cryptidcore centers on a love of exploration and discovery, with a distinctly dark tone. Backwoods and monsters, numbers stations, codes and cyphers, government conspiracy. A desire to find the underbelly of the world. A love for the creepy, the strange, and the inexplicable.
