AARP's 30 Movies Every Grownup Should Know

"Does anyone really need another list of the greatest movies ever made? Of course not. There are already a million of those clogging up the internet. And, frankly, our goal isn't to make you roll your eyes and stifle a yawn. Which is why we've come up with a different kind of list — a list of the films that you simply must see because they're not only great, they're relevant in a timeless way. These are the movies that when they come up at a dinner party, you want to be able to say, "Oh yes, I know exactly what you mean." Some may speak for a generation; some are shared touchstones in our pop-culture vocabulary. They may offer insights about growing up or having already grown up and now wistfully look back.
