Not all Indian movies are trash masala dramas with songs and dance, or the same old cheesy and clichéd romances. And Indian movies is not only about Bollywood.
So here is a collection of movies- old & new, some successful, others not so much, some classics, some underdogs,some pop culture hits and some indies, from the hindi, bengali, malayalam, tamil, marathi, assamese film industries that deserve to be seen and loved. I have tried to include movies across various genres- thrillers, romances, dramas to children's films,as well as short films,so there is something for everyone.I have included mainly those movies which are not the first ones to come to one's mind on hearing Indian movies. So if you are looking for Sholay or DDLJ, this is not the place. Also these movies are not without their share of flaws, but I feel they are better than the majority of movies that are made every year in India.
