A Father's Guide to YA Literature!

At 48, I'm a little confused as to what constitutes "Young Adult" literature. So I consulted my 19-year-old daughter! We didn't necessarily agree on all points . . . but she did give me some good clues. I have personally read all the books on this list, however, there were some I didn't care for and a few which I actively disliked. Included are recently published titles, as well as some classics.
Please note the absence of horror fiction -- YA or otherwise. That is NOT a genre in which I have any interest.
