Horror:A Connoisseur's Guide-Pt. 1:Films
- Page 2
If you're looking for movies to watch for Halloween, here's a few ideas from Leonard Wolf's fantastic book. From 1920-1987, classics, camp & crap, there's something to appeal to everyone's taste. Many of these films feature the great horror stars Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Vincent Price, Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing, as well as scream queen Fay Wray. I have the films in alphabetical order as in the book. 2 of the last 3 films are under their alternate titles. Kuroneko is the best known title for Yabu no Naka Kuroneko, while Dracula's Dog is AKA Zoltan, The Hound of Dracula. As most are before 1980, might turn up on TCM. To see part 2 of this list you'll have to check the book lists, which will take a while as it looks like I'll be scouring for pics. Happy Halloween! P.S. I had the original versions for "I Spit on Your Grave" & "Poltergeist", but List Challenges changed them on me,same time they stopped adding Rotten Tomatoes scores.
