From modest beginnings, these sodas have been with us for generations. Is your favorite one of the "Good Ol' Sodas?" This list is not counting ones created in the 1900s.
The oldest on this list has been around since 1783 as carbonated water, no flavor... later Schweppes added flavors... the youngest, Barq's Root Beer, have been with us for just over 120 years. :-)
NOTES: "Fioravanti is not as widely known outside of South America and Spain..." So I didn't include it on my rendition of the list, especially since the other sodas are from the United States. And although not in the source material, I needed to have 10 items to publish this list, so I included 2 "extras" from a parent line. These *flavors* may've been created after the 1890s, but the Brand was established.
