66 Years of Favorite Books: A Reminiscence - Page 3

I was born 71 years ago; I learned to read when I was five. My grandmother was a second grade teacher, both my parents went to college, and I got my first library card when I was 7. Books have been a huge part of my work life and my personal life. So, I randomly started listing books that I remembered fondly as they occurred to me - some had been required reading and some had been read purely for pleasure. I reached 200 and stopped; if I hadn't, I'd have kept going into the thousands. These are not all of my favorite books, but they were the first that came to mind when I asked myself what were.
