Some foods and drinks have very strange, weird, or humorous names. Some are very basic foods with names that have almost nothing to do with what it really is, like Bubble and Squeak or a Dutch Baby, while other foods also have names that seem to be intended to hide what they really are, like Sweetbreads and Rocky Mountain/Prairie Oysters. Some food names are very descriptive of what the food looks like, such as Fiddleheads or St. Agatha's Breasts (no wonder The Imam Fainted), while others don't really do much to indicate what's really there, such as Bullet Soup. Some foods are very common, but when you think about it, the name is kind of odd, like the good old Hot Dog, while other foods have a name that has evolved to mean something else entirely, like Spam. Some food names aren't particularly appetizing, like the Garbage Plate, a Pu Pu Platter, or Stinking Bishop, while others sound rather naughty, like Spotted Dick, Sex in a Pan, Whoopie Pie, or Juicy Lucy.
