Since we're all staying home, and avoiding unnecessary trips to buy food, it's surprising how many great meals you can make from the items you probably already have on hand, if you have a reasonably well stocked pantry and fairly typical fridge and freezer items. This is a list of 50 meals, all with less than 10 ingredients that rarely stray from pretty common household staples. Some rely on having pre-made items (jarred or canned pasta sauce, for example) but most are so simple, they're from scratch. The number of ingredients shown assumes you have salt & pepper, cooking oil, and water. Many of these dishes are designed to be flexible to allow for substitutions (i.e. one type of bean for another) and several are literally designed to make use of whatever you've got on hand and leftovers. Some, like an omelette, can start with 1 ingredient, and you're only limited by your tastes and imagination. Regardless, you can eat pretty well, pretty simply. How many do you think you could make?
