Angels, and especially demons, have a unique place in modern, popular mythology and culture. As such, they are used extensively as plot devices or as characters in books, art, TV series and of course films.
Below are three categories of movies: the first is mostly about angels, the second mostly about demons while the third section covers angels and demons doing battle against each other, or even amongst themselves.
The selected movies are reasonably new (meaning not older than 1995 unless they are really good), and generally have a decent score on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes.
Some are more historically and culturally accurate than others, but unfortunately, Hollywood and the movie industry in general isn't that big on historical accuracy and takes plenty of artistic liberties.
