Here's a list of rock-cut formations from around the globe. Rock-cut design is the creation of plans, buildings, and sculptures by removing and/or cutting solid rock at its foundation though some of the items on this list such as the pyramids and statues where cut from the original stone or rock and erected elsewhere which is also very impressive.
It's intensely laborious when using ancient tools and methods which makes it even more amazing. By comparison, the Crazy Horse Memorial which is the world's largest mountain carving has been in construction for the relatively short period of only 70 years!! How many have you visited here? mm
