40 Best Films of the 1920s

During the last year I have watched (or re-watched) a lot of the best films of the 1920s and here is the short list of my favourites. I still have some films on my "to watch" list though and a few of them would have appeared on this list probably if I had seen them (especially "The Wedding March", "Crossroads" / "Jujiro" and "The Joyless Street"). Of course there are many more films from this decade that are worth watching. Nevertheless this set is a good start in my opinion as it includes both the undisputed classics and the titles that are less known but deserve more attention. Ordered according to how much I liked them - at least that is how I feel I liked them at the moment.
