Terence Edward Hall (3/19/59 – 12/18 22) was a British musician & lead singer of the 2-tone band the Specials & later recorded with Fun Boy Three, the Colourfield, Terry, Blair & Anouchka, and Vegas. Hall first came to fame in the UK in 1979 when BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel played their debut single "Gangsters." Their debut album, The Specials, had the hits "A Message to You Rudy" & "Too Much Too Young." In October 1980 they released their 2nd album, More Specials, which contained 3 more hits: "Do Nothing," "Stereotype" & "Rat Race." "Ghost Town," released in June 1981, spent 3 weeks at #1. After this, Hall left to start a new group: Fun Boy Three w/2 of his Specials bandmates, Lynval Golding & Neville Staple. FB3's first hit "The Lunatics (Have Taken Over the Asylum)" dropped in 1981 & was followed in 1982 w/"It Ain't What You Do (It's the Way That You Do It)" Many hits followed along w/collabs w/many artists like Bananarama & Sinead O'Connor.
