A global pandemic… A year full of panic… 365 Days of unrelenting bad news. As calendar years go, 2020 was begging to be given its own Razzie Award. And so it will be! Among the "honors" bestowed at April's 41st Annual Golden Raspberry Awards will be a Special Governors' Trophy to The Year 2020 as "The Worst Calendar Year EVER!"
With new Academy guidelines allowing non-traditionally released titles to compete (and the Razzies following in their footsteps) this year's Worst Picture nominees include: The first-ever foreign-film contender, 365 Days (a Polish rip-off of past Razzie "winner" Fifty Shades of Grey); Absolute Proof (a fact-free "documentary" financed by The My Pillow Guy Mike Lindell" from 3-Time Razzie "Winner" Donald Trump); Dolittle (the last Big Budget Bomb theatrically released before The Worldwide Lock-Down); Fantasy Island (A "Re-Imagining" of the old TV series); and Sia's directorial debut, "Music".
