Everyone talks about Batman: The Animated Series, which launched the DC Animated Universe, and X-Men, the first of many successful Marvel shows in the 1990s, and for good reasons. These shows revolutionized superhero animation and provided the highest examples of what animated superhero TV series could be.
These critically acclaimed series rightfully attract so much attention from media and fans, but their success often overshadows many other great superhero animated shows that came before and even some that have come since.
